We will look at a situation that occurred a few weeks ago involving a CHQR producer and a woman police declared ?mentally unstable.? We?ll also speak with the Canadian Mental Health Association on the cutbacks over the years and the results on our city. We?ll also look at the stereotypes surrounding mental illness ? the majority of people who are violent do not suffer from mental illnesses. The Canadian Medical Association has launched a new website to get citizens involved in the protest for the federal government to do more on the doctor shortage. The CMA says the average age of Canada?s physicians is 50 and between 4 and 5 million Canadians do not have a family physician. How has reaction been towards this new site so far?
